PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification method of a charge-transporting compound whereby the charge-transporting compound which is used for an electrophotographic photoreceptor, has at least one chain-polymerizable functional group and comprises a triphenylamine structure is obtained with a high purity. SOLUTION: In the purification method, the charge-transporting compound which has a triphenylamine structure of formula (1) and has at least one chain-polymerizable functional group is dissolved in an organic solvent, the organic solvent containing the compound is contacted with at least one adsorbent chosen from the group consisting of a silica-alumina adsorbent such as activated clay and acid clay and a silica-magnesia adsorbent, the organic solvent containing the compound is separated from the adsorbent, and the organic solvent is removed from the organic solvent containing the compound to obtain a purified product of the charge-transporting compound.
