A module base/socket for European installation bus (EIB) interface where a field-bus provides a series data link between a distant central control unit and a field-bus module. A first circuit board (3) is fitted out with pluggable pin contacts (2) and with circuit board connection terminals (4) and the number and arrangement of contacts (2) correspond to those of the module connection terminals of the field-bus module. The module connection terminals for the field bus module are electrically connected to the pluggable pin contacts (2) of the circuit board (3) and then taken from there to the circuit board connection terminals (4) via conductor paths.
