<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that arc start fails sometimes by interference between a welding wire 1 and a upper plate 2a in a starting method of retracting arc in a lap welding by which the arc is started by moving a welding torch 4 to a welding starting position Ps provided on the weld line 2d of a lap joint 2c and performing forward supply, retreating supply and forward resupply of a welding wire 1. <P>SOLUTION: A retract arc starting method in the lap welding by which a position which is distant by a prescribed distance Lp in the direction of a side of a lower plate 2b of the lap joint 2c from the welding starting position Ps is provided as a preceding starting position Pp, the arc is generated by starting the retracting arc after first moving the welding torch 4 to the preceding starting position Pp and succeedingly the welding torch 4 is moved along the weld line 2d after moving it in the welding starting position Ps while generating the arc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
