LCD AND A METHOD OF DRIVING THE SAME TO PREVENT A FLICKER PHENOMENON

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method of driving the same are provided to prevent a flicker phenomenon while a frame rate control and inversion driving are realized at the same time by performing a dithering process. CONSTITUTION: Image data of eight bits is received from the outside. The number of a frame having the first gradation and that of a frame having the second gradation are controlled by lower two bits of the image data during continuous four frames, wherein the first gradation is represented by upper six bits of the image data and the second gradation is higher than the first gradation by one level. Frame data is converted so that display frequency of the first and second gradation in a four-by-two pixel block can be controlled by the lower two bits thereof.
