An edging strip for inner and outer rendering around door and window frames has a self adhesive foam core (4) applied to the frame and with a plastic spacer profile (2) to bridge the gap between the frame and rendering. The foam is set slightly proud of the plastic profile and is compressed slightly in fitting. The spacer has at least one spacer flange for minimum spacing and covers any movements of the frame. The outer flange of the spacer strip is on the surface of the rendering.
