PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film web which does not produce deformation failures of the film web, such as a horseback (U-shape deformation) failure and a projection failure, even if the optical film web is preserved for a long time, and has excellent productivity, to provide its storage method and transportation method and a surface processed optical film made of the optical film web, and to exert the effects particularly in the optical film with wide width and thin film thickness. SOLUTION: In a cellulose ester film web having film width of not less than 1,350 mm, film thickness of not less than 25μm to not more than 80μm and a winding core around which a cellulose ester film having embossed parts on its both ends is wound, elasticity modulus of the winding core is not less than 20 GPa to not more than 40 GPa.
