<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering and reutilizing a high-quality recycled rubber having a high reusability from vulcanized rubber product wastes such as scrap tires. <P>SOLUTION: According to this method for recycling rubber wastes, (1) vulcanized rubber wastes having natural rubber as a rubber component are subjected to a catalytic reaction with high temperature steam at 100-300°C under a pressure of normal pressure to 40 MPa to devulcanize the vulcanized rubber, and the devulcanized product is recovered to be reused as a rubber material; (2) vulcanized rubber wastes having a styrene-butadiene rubber as a rubber component are subjected to a catalytic reaction with high temperature steam at 300-450°C under a pressure of normal pressure to 40 MPa to devulcanize the vulcanized rubber, and the devulcanized product is recovered to be reused as a rubber material; or (3) vulcanized rubber wastes having natural rubber and a styrene-butadiene rubber as rubber components are subjected to a catalytic reaction with high temperature steam at 300-350°C under a pressure of normal pressure to 40 MPa to devulcanize the vulcanized rubber, and the devulcanized product is recovered to be reused as a rubber material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
