PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet postprocessing device for forming a tub on the sheet. SOLUTION: When a sheet rear end detecting sensor 41a detects the rear end of the sheet conveyed to a punch unit 40, an MPU (control means) stops sheet conveyance by a first conveying roller according to a sheet rear end detection signal in response to various data stored on RAM, and forms a semicircular tab at the rear end of the sheet with the punch unit.
