<p>Gas or oil fired chamber furnace for hearth trolleys is designed for hot gas circulating and has outlet and inlet openings in its side wall the two types of openings being at different levels. Groups of outlet and inlet openings are connected to common fans, which circulate the gas. The fan connections from the openings form a spider leg type pattern the centre of the pattern being the fan. A furnace of this type has very uniform temp. and is suitable for carbon electrode mfe. where this is important, as other wise cracking of the goods being fired may occur.</p> |
