<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood fastening device including a striker which can be drawn in by a motor to generate fixation, capable of suppressing increase of the motor load even when the operation approaches the ultimate draw-in position where the pull-up force of a hood is large. <P>SOLUTION: The hood fastening device is equipped with the striker fixed to the hood, a base plate 3 fixed to the vehicle body, a slide plate 4 installed on the base plate 3, a latch installed on the slide plate 4, a cam 8 attached to the base plate 3, and a motor to rotate the cam 8, wherein a projection 17 is provided on the slide plate 4 while the cam 8 is provided with a cam hole 29 to slide the projection 17 in the directions in which the striker comes in contact and separates, and when the striker is engaged with the latch, the cam 8 rotates in the direction of drawing in the projection 17 to the side opposite the hood, and therein the shape of the cam hole 29 is such that the draw-in amount lessens gradually when the projection 17 approaches the ultimate draw-in position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
