PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring beef freshness is provided to quickly and exactly measure the quality of beef by using an infrared spectrometer. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring beef freshness is provided. Information of infrared spectrum received and irradiated through an infrared spectrometer with respect to beef samples is obtained. A reflection degree according to wavelengths of the information is obtained. The degree for beef freshness obtained through a basic experiment and the degree of reflection of the infrared wavelength area is converted into the degree of the absorption degree. A second infrared wavelength area is obtained. The second infrared wavelength represents a result obtained by analyzing the correlation value between the converted absorption degree and the degree of beef freshness.
