PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus for allowing a user to easily know the expected arrival time, or the like at an arbitrary point on a guided route. SOLUTION: When a user specifies a point on the guided route, a route from a current position to the specified point is extracted from the guided route (S130). Then, the expected time required for passing the extracted route is calculated (S135) and is added to the current time, so that the expected arrival time is calculated for reporting (S140, S150). Accordingly, the user can determine the expected arrival time at an arbitrary point on the guided route, without having the navigation apparatus recalculate the guided route, by specifying a point whose expected arrival time should be determined, as in the conventional navigation apparatuses, and registering the specified point in the navigation apparatus as places which are passed through, thus reducing the user's labor.
