PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide artificial turf lightweight with excellent durability, flexibility and water resistance and usable for a long period of time without the slip-out or cutting of pile yarn over a long period of time. SOLUTION: This artificial turf 1 is formed by tufting filament bodies 2 for piles on a ground fabric 4 obtained by weaving filament bodies for the ground fabric obtained by uniaxially drawing thermoplastic resin. The filament body 2 for piles is composed of aggregate yarn formed by connecting a large number of small-diameter filament bodies formed of thermoplastic resin and uniaxially drawn, to one another.
