<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for carrying workpieces, which method and system can timely supply the workpieces in a mixed flow type assembly line without providing a buffer area. <P>SOLUTION: An arithmetic unit 10 derives the approximate expression of a skill curve based on the data of the assembly time and the assembly accumulated number for every kind of workpieces and every assembly worker, the data being stored in data recording media 5, and then preliminarily estimates the current assembly time from an approximate expression, and also derives the next workpiece supplying time based on the estimated assembly time, the carry time of the workpiece W into the assembly work area A, and the carrying time necessary for carrying the workpiece from the supply of the workpiece on the carrying-in conveyor 1A up to the assembly work area A, and begins to carry the workpiece W before the completion of the assembly work in the assembly work area A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
