PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device of a merchandise display shelf for efficiently reaching the merchandise display shelf displaying target merchandise from among many merchandise display shelves where many kinds of merchandise are sorted / displayed according to fixed categories in a drug store or the like. SOLUTION: Display plates 4 and 5 installed at the upper part of the merchandise display shelf 1 are separated into two upper and lower stages, the concrete merchandise names of merchandise articles 3a-3h displayed on a display shelf 2 at the lower part or the categories 8a and 8b of subclassifications including the concrete names are displayed on the display plate 5 of the lower stage, and the category 7 of major classifications including the categories 8a and 8b of the subclassifications is displayed on the display plate 4 of the upper stage. Further, the display plate 5 of the lower stage is held at an angle close to vertical and the display plate 5 of the lower stage is inclined forward at a larger angle than the display plate of the upper stage.
