<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent serum cholesterol-lowering agent or prophylactic or therapeutic agent for atherosclerosis. <P>SOLUTION: The serum cholesterol-lowering agent or prophylactic or therapeutic agent for atherosclerosis is obtained by combining a compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein A<SB>1</SB>, A<SB>3</SB>, A<SB>4</SB>and R<SB>3</SB>are each a hydrogen atom or a substituent group; A<SB>2</SB>is a 1-5C alkyl chain, a 1-5C alkoxy chain, a 1-5C alkenyl chain, a 1-5C hydroxyalkyl chain or a 1-5C carbonylalkyl chain; n, p, q and r are each an integer of 0, 1 or 2) or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt with a cholesterol biosynthesis inhibitor and/or a fibrate-based cholesterol-lowering agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
