PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve electromagnetic shielding and heat radiation in a flat display device without using a shield case, a cooling fan, a heat sink only for heat generating parts, etc. SOLUTION: The flat display device is constituted in such a way that a case member 17 is disposed in a space surrounded by the rear surface of a conductive chassis substrate 4 to the front surface of which a PDP 3 is attached and a conductive rear cover 11 covering the rear surface side of the chassis substrate 4, the case member 17 demarcating a circuit storage space 16 in cooperation with the chassis substrate 4 or the rear cover 11 and that a source part 8 including an audio circuit 6 is stored in the case member 17.
