LARGE DIESEL ENGINE USED FOR DRIVING SHIP OR POWER PLANT WITH INJECTION PUMP WITH SIMPLE STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: An engine is provided to clean the containing chamber securely, and to cut down cost by arranging two ring-shaped chambers in the upper part and the lower part of the containing chamber and extending the connection channel to the supply pipe or the discharge pipe. CONSTITUTION: An engine comprises plural cylinders arranged in a row or more, injection pumps arranged in a row or more, supply and discharge pipes penetrating the injection pump row, and an injection pump housing having an annular containing chamber connected to a pump chamber(12) and connection channels(16,17) vertically arranged and extended radially. The connection channels are communicated with the supply pipe and the discharge pipe. The containing chamber is composed of ring-shaped chambers(14,15) vertically arranged, and the connection channels extended to the discharge pipe and the supply pipe are arranged in the ring-shaped chambers. The circumferences opposed to the connection channels are connected to each other by an over current channel(18).
