<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary connector capable of preventing its breakage accident even when sufficient thickness can not be secured for a connection pin, and composed by enhancing reliability of a structure for connecting it to a steering wheel. <P>SOLUTION: In this rotary connector, a movable-side housing 2 is connected to the steering wheel by interlaying the connection pins 7. The rotary connector is characterized by that the tip of each connection pin 7 is formed into a two-forked shape where a pair of finger parts 7a are faced to each other by interlaying a slit 7b; both the finger parts 7a are firmly fitted to recessed parts 11 on the steering wheel side; and the movable-side housing 2 is formed into a structure comprising an upper rotor 3 provided with base end parts of the connection pins 7 on an inner tubular surface 3a and recessed slots 3e on both the circumferential sides of the base end parts, and a lower rotor 4 provided with an inner tubular wall 4a disposed oppositely to the radial insides of the base end parts of the connection pins 7, and support projections 8 held by the tubular wall 4a and disposed in the recessed slots 3e, and fitted to the upper rotor 3 in a snapping manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
