PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer using UV ink in which a drawing or/and a character having no blurred part on the surface of a medium can be printed. SOLUTION: The inkjet printer comprises an inkjet head 30 for printing a drawing or/and a character by ejecting UV process color ink drops, and an inkjet head 300 for printing an undercoat layer by ejecting ink drops for UV primer material wherein an undercoat layer comprising an arrangement of a plurality of ink dots for UV primer material is printed on the surface of a medium 10 with ink drops of UV primer material being ejected from the inkjet head 300 for printing the undercoat layer. Subsequently, a drawing or/and a character comprising an arrangement of a plurality of dots of UV process color ink is printed on the surface of the undercoat layer with UV process color ink drops being ejected from the inkjet head 30 for printing a drawing or/and a character.
