<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the defect that hydrogen offgas exhausted from a fuel cell may possibly burn unless an air volume for dilution is augmented, since hydrogen density is high when the temperature of the fuel cell is low. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system supplying hydrogen-containing gas containing hydrogen and oxygen-containing gas containing oxygen to a fuel cell 1 to have power generated, and having first offgas diluted by mixing exhaust oxygen-containing gas in exhaust hydrogen-containing gas exhausted from the fuel cell 1 is provided with a temperature detecting means detecting the temperature of the fuel cell 1 and a control means for correcting a volume of the exhausted oxygen-containing gas used for the dilution based on the temperature detected by the temperature detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
