PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TV receiver which includes a picture jitter preventing device for suppressing the instant picture jitter and raising precision in preventing the picture jitter. SOLUTION: When a shadow mask is oscillated by a sound output, a detecting circuit 3 detects the output signal of an oscillation detecting element 2. A comparing circuit 4 compares the voltage value with the reference voltage value concerning the detection signal. When the voltage value of the detection signal reaches the reference voltage value, a low sound volume control signal is outputted. Then the low sound volume control signal is inputted to a volume/sound quality control circuit 5, so as to reduce the low sound of the sound output. Consequently, the oscillation of the shadow mask is restricted, the instant picture jitter is suppressed, and then, the picture jitter is prevented with high precision.
