PURPOSE: A sorting line is provided to widen a passing route for a forklift, a roll box, or persons in a small groove area by lifting not only an automatic sorting unit of an automatic sorting line but also a manual sorting unit of a manual sorting line on a temporary base. CONSTITUTION: An automatic sorting line is lifted up on a horizontal temporary base(9) inclined from a shipping control place(1), plural automatic sorting units(4) are arranged on the temporary base, and freights are discharged selectively from the automatic sorting unit to a shipping discharge chute and conveyed to a shipping place. A manual sorting line is lifted up on a horizontal temporary base(10) inclined from the shipping control place, plural manual sorting units are installed on the temporary base, and freights classified manually in the manual sorting unit are conveyed to the shipping place through a chute joined with or parallel to the shipping discharge chute of the automatic sorting line. The manual sorting line on the temporary base is installed lower than a branch unit of the automatic sorting line. Height and width under the temporary based of the automatic sorting line are enough to pass the forklift or roll boxes. Height and width under the temporary based of the manual sorting line are enough to pass persons. Height between a belt surface of the manual sorting unit and a branch lower end of the automatic sorting unit is formed enough to pass manually classified freights.
