摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an effective means for floating up and separating inclusions by obtaining sufficient stirring power without unnecessarily raising the flowing speed in molten steel stream path, in a method for forming the molten steel stream path in a tundish and removing the inclusions by blowing gas therein. <P>SOLUTION: The inner part of a tundish 1 is partitioned with a weir 2, a molten steel stream path 3 changed downward with a step on the way of this weir is formed, and the gas is blown into this molten steel stream path 3. In the molten steel stream path changed downward on the way of the molten steel stream, negative pressure is remarkably developed by forming the step in the stream path. Since the non-metallic inclusions in the tundish can be floated up and separated, the plugging of a nozzle for continuous casting is eliminated and durability is improved.
