<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for connecting flexible plate-like cables, whereby the flexible plate-like cables do not easily come off, even if the entire connector is miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: This connector is characterised by being equipped with a housing having a plate-like cable insertion part for inserting the flexible plate-like cable, a plurality of contacts having elastic contact parts projecting into the plate-like cable insertion part, and a slider which can be freely inserted in and extracted from the plate-like cable insertion hole. The slider 27 is equipped with an extraction preventing piece 49a for the rims 22a, which is formed at both side parts of the flexible plate-like cable 21 and is perpendicular to the inserting and extracting direction, to abut and stop in the extracting direction, and a plate-like cable holding part 49 having a pressing piece 49b projecting from the upper rim of the extraction preventing piece 49a at a right angle to the extraction preventing piece 49a, and the slider 27 is inserted in the plate-like cable insertion part with the side part of the flexible plate-like cable 21 prevented from being extracted by the extraction preventing piece 49a, and with the side part of the flexible plate-like cable made impossible to float up with respect to a pushing plate part by the pressing piece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
