PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite-mounted data recording and reproducing device that ensures reliability, transmits recorded frames one by one at data reproduction, and increases the availability of a data memory. SOLUTION: The satellite-mounted data recording and reproducing device comprises: a frame end detection part 100 for detecting the end of a received frame; a flag addition part 101 for adding a flag showing an end to the received frame; a coding part 102 for adding a code for error correction to the flagged received frame and storing it in the data memory 103; a decoding part 107 for correcting errors if any in data read out from the data memory 103; a frame end determination part 108 for determining the ends of frames according to the flags; and a data reproduction part 109 for outputting the data frame by frame.
