The device which centrally positions and compensates thermal expansions between two different components has metal feet (1) and a web plate (2) consisting of several lamella slats (2) of fibre-reinforced plastics. The end feet are in two parts braced together by tension bolts (4). Friction discs (3) between the lamella slats are fixed without play on the tension bolts. A gap (11) is formed between the lamella slats.
