<p>A twining machine is beared as a balling machine and comprises a twining flyer (19) which rotates about the ball axis (12) which defines a sharp angle with respect to the flyer axis (15). A drive device (6, 20, 21) causes the ball (17) to slowly rotate about its axis (12).
