METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY GENERATING TASK FOR OBJECT OF DBMS

PURPOSE: A method and a system for automatically generating a task for an object of a DBMS(DataBase Management System) are provided to relief several burdens of a manager by performing an intelligent routine maintenance task based on user definition policy/rules and object metadata. CONSTITUTION: A server(230) includes the DBMS(236). A user/program interface(210) receives system tasks and the rules related to the system tasks. Task/rule store(220) stores the system tasks and rules. A server event detector(232) detects a data event. An event queue(234) registers the metadata related to a database event descriptor. A server agent(240) detects registration of the database event descriptor and the related metadata, and compares the registration with the rules. A task command generator(250) generates a command.
