<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ship propulsion machinery which suppresses occurrence of an excessive tension force and bending at a pressure tube for speed detection, and secures transmission property excellent in water pressure in steering. <P>SOLUTION: An outboard motor 1 is equipped with a support device 3 supporting an outboard motor body 2 to a hull, and the flexible pressure tube 50 for speed detection. The support device 3 has fixed brackets 20L, 20R fixed to the hull, a swivel case 22 tiltably supported with the fixed brackets 20L, 20R, and a mount frame 23 supporting the outboard motor body 2 and steerably supported with the swivel case 22.
