COMPUTER HAVING ENHANCED CPU USE EFFICIENCY AND CONTROLLING METHOD

PURPOSE: A computer having an enhanced CPU use efficiency and a controlling method are provided to control a throttling function by a concrete battery condition when the computer uses battery power as system power. CONSTITUTION: A power identifier(5) checks a sort of power. A throttling part(9) controls a clock speed of a CPU(1). A voltage checker(13) checks a battery voltage when the battery is checked by the power identifier. A remaining battery checker(11) checks remained battery when the battery is checked by the power identifier. A throttling controller(7) controls the throttling part based on the checked battery voltage/remained battery and the CPU information stored in a BIOS(Basic Input/Output System)(3).
