PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an integrally constituted binding implement which has good operability and which is structurally resistant to damage. SOLUTION: This binding implement 10 includes a base member 12 and a binding member 14, and couples the base member 12 with the binding implement 14 by means of a coupling member 16. The coupling member 16 is bent so that the base member 12 and the binding member 14 can be combined together and attached to a file etc. The base member 12 and the binding member 14 are combined together so that a side wall part 52 of the base member 12 can be arranged in close vicinity to a hinge part 24 between the binding member 14 and a binding piece 22. Additionally, a side wall part 18a of the binding member 14 is fitted inside the side wall part 52 of the base member 12, so that a square pillar-shaped strong structure can be formed.
