PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a phosphoric acid aqueous solution of high purity, from a crude phosphoric acid aqueous solution containing the other acids as impurities or containing the other acids and metallic ions as impurities, by removing the impurities. SOLUTION: In the method for obtaining the high purity phosphoric acid aqueous solution, the crude phosphoric acid aqueous solution and an extraction solvent liquid containing a trialkyl phosphate are mixed, so that phosphoric acid is selectively dissolved into the extraction solvent liquid and is extracted, and thereafter, the phosphoric acid-containing extraction solvent and water for peeling are contacted to dissolvingly move the phosphoric acid to the water for peeling. The purity of the crude phosphoric acid aqueous solution can be increased by performing the similar operation even in the case where a 4 to 11C alcohol is used as an extraction solvent liquid.
