PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating an internal combustion engine, a controller and a computer program with which the accuracy in metering of fuel and adjusting ofλwith an injection valve of an internal combustion engine can be improved. SOLUTION: The method makes an improvement by detecting an electrical amount peculiar to a cylinder. The controller makes an improvement by specifying an electrical reference amount peculiar to the cylinder. When the computer program runs in a computing device, the computer program makes an improvement by providing a program code suitable to the implementation of the method described in any one of claims 1 to 5.
