The longitudinal processing machine includes a control unit (38) which triggers off the heaters (32,32',33,33') depending on the detected deflection of the tool beds (8,8'). The deflection of the tool beds are monitored by deflection sensors (34-37,34'-37'). The deflection sensors are arranged at the outer sides (30,31,30',31') of the tool beds.
