PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that although BGR circuits are generally used as reference voltage generation circuits in conventional methods, the operation conditions of circuits which are generally loads are generally varied by the influence of temperature, process, etc., and although the BGR circuits are stable against the variation of various operation environments, the correction of variation in variation parameters and control ranges is limited and to provide a reference voltage generation circuit having a wide control range by extending the limit of a variation parameter. SOLUTION: The variation of the variation parameter is compared with a previously set reference value, and when the variation is out of the reference value, PN junction elements to be connected in parallel with a PN junction element whose band gap voltage is set are added or reduced by electronic switches and the number of PN junction elements can be switched, so that the sorts of variation parameters and the control range can be extended.
