PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key device which has a miniaturized structure even with an emergency key stored therein while ensuring the operability of the emergency key. SOLUTION: The electronic key device 1 is a portable key device comprised of an electronic key main body 2 in which an electronic element is incorporated, and an emergency key 3 stored in the electronic key main body 2, and carries out locking/unlocking by remote control. The emergency key 3 has a key head portion 9 which is variable in size so that it is downsized when stored in the electric key main body 2 while it is enlarged when taken out of the key main body 2.
