PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding implement of a simple structure, constituted of especially only paper as a binding implement which can be recycled as reprocessed paper. SOLUTION: In the binding implement constituted of a flat strip paper holding plate and a plain cylindrical sliding cover having an inside diameter for the paper holding plate to be inserted through, paired binding holes are opened at a specified interval in the paper holding plate, while binding holes corresponding to the binding holes opened in the paper holding plate, are opened in the upper surface of the sliding cover. In addition, oval holes corresponding to the binding holes of the upper surface of the sliding cover are opened in the lower surface and thus the paper holding plate is inserted, in a freely sliding manner, through the sliding cover. Further, a wide projecting securing piece is provided at one end of the paper holding plate, in the center of both side pieces of which a notched part is formed, and also a retaining part constituted of a notch is formed at a position corresponding to the notched part of the sliding cover.
