METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING REGENERATED MOLDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a regenerated molding material constituted so as to shorten the occupying time of a pressing machine at the time of molding to consequently prevent the lowering in the amount of production of a product per a unit time even in such a case that the regenerated molding material large in wall thickness is manufactured when crushed pieces of a long fiber-reinforced resin are recycled as a material.

SOLUTION: Waste of the long fiber-reinforced resin is cut and crushed to obtain crushed pieces elongated in a fiber direction and a binder cured under heating is bonded to the surfaces of the elongated crushed pieces. These binder-bonded crushed pieces are orientated in a fiber direction or laminated in the lower mold of a rectangular shaping mold surrounded by a lower surface and a pair of opposed side surfaces to form a laminated mat and the upper mold movable in an up and down direction of the mold is applied to the upper part of the laminated mat and pressed downward to consolidate the laminated mat. Then, the upper mold is fixed in a pressing state and heated to cure the binder.
