PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding device grinding the outer diameter runout dimension of a rubber roll 4 with high accuracy and eliminating ground powder cleaning work to improve workability by preventing the ground powder produced in grinding the rubber roll, from entering a collet chuck and sticking to the front face of the chuck. SOLUTION: This grinding device for grinding the outer peripheral surface of the rubber roll 4 by clamping a core metal shaft 6 on one side of the rubber roll 4 by the collet chuck 1, has: a means for discharging high pressure air to the periphery of a chucked part of the core metal via a clearance between the internal wall of a spindle of the collet chuck 1 and a draw bar 7 passed through the inside of the collet chuck 1, and via a slit groove 14 of the collet chuck 1; and a non-sticky resin layer at a front face part 13 of the collet chuck 1 for clamping the core metal.
