<p>Satellites (100a,100b) provide good coverage of mobile terminal service regions and ground stations (200) can communicate with all satellites if there is an unobstructed view. The ground stations allow a mobile terminal to be connected to a network as near as possible to the other party and feeder link antennas (201) are oriented towards the satellites for transmitting feeder link signals to the satellites in the up-link frequency band. Independent claims are included for a method for communicating between plural satellites and for a method of transmitting signals from a ground station to a satellite.</p> |
