PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine and a method for welding internal layer board by which the occurrence of cobwebbing and the scattering of blackened powder can be prevented at the time of melting a prepreg on the surface of a work in a tentatively fixing step performed, after the work is laid up in the manufacturing process of a multilayered printed wiring board and, in addition, the working hour can be shortened. SOLUTION: When an air cylinder 13 is stuck to the front end of a C-shaped frame 10 by means of an internal layer board welding machine which tentatively fixes the work 40 after the work 40 is laid up by laminating a both-sided wiring board and the prepreg upon another, a welding head 17 descends through a welding head base 14 due to the movement. Then the work 40 is tentatively fixed by welding the work 40 by melting the prepreg on the surface of the work 4, by pressing and heating the prepreg by means of the front end of the high-temperature welding head 17 through a tape 25. After welding, the welding head rises and the C-shaped frame 10 moves by S in the Y-direction. In addition, a stamper 27 is lowered to a welding position by means of an air cylinder 26 and presses the work 40 through the tape 25. Since the tape 25 covers the surface of the work 40 for a long time during the welding time and the pressing time by means of the stamper 27, the prepreg on the surface of the work 40 is sufficiently hardened and the occurrence of cobwebbing and the scattering of blackened powder are prevented.
