PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound signal generating apparatus and sound signal generating method for reducing pop noise . SOLUTION: A processing circuit for outputting a second signal to which PWM is applied, and a first signal having the same phase as or the opposite phase of the second signal to an amplifier includes a pulse generator provided with a power detector which senses that power to be supplied to the amplifier is turned on, outputs power-on, senses that the power is turned off, and outputs a power-off signal, a duty cycle generator for generating a first pulse signal corresponding to the first signal and a second pulse signal corresponding to the second signal, and a reduced-width generator for generating any reduced-width one of either the first pulse or the second pulse.
