PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device that can discriminate the first a TOC region and can reproduce the content data appropriately even when it is a multi-session disk in which a minus time in the head track is long. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an optical pickup 10 reading out a data signal from a disk, a signal processing section 11 converting the data signal to the prescribed data, a sub-code detecting part 12 detecting a sub-code from the data, a TOC recognizing part 13 recognizing that a position of the optical pickup is in a read-in region by using the sub-code, a control part 17 moving the optical pickup to a program region immediately after the recognized read-in region, and a read-in region discriminating part 16 discriminating whether the recognized read-in region is a read-in region of the first session of the disk based on time information obtained from the sub-code in a position of the optical pickup after moving.
