PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which comprises an outer phase portion including an inner phase portion and contains a magnetic material, such as a microcapsule capable of being suitably used for forming an active ingredient for a sustained release drug or an ultrasonic contrast medium.

SOLUTION: This structure comprising a polyhydroxyalkanoate and a magnetic material is characterized by having an outer phase portion comprising the polyhydroxyalkanoate and an inner phase portion encapsulated in the outer phase portion, wherein the magnetic material is contained in at least one of the outer phase portion and the inner phase portion.
