PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil sampling apparatus which has a simple structure, not only makes use of scout holes formed in the ground as a result of the Swedish sounding method but also makes effective use of the simplicity that is a characteristic of the method, secures a sampling quantity sufficient for survey while sampling soil not at a single location but at a plurality of locations in different layers, carries out the sampling with good efficiency, causes no inconvenience during operation in the ground, and has no difficulty in maintenance. SOLUTION: The soil sampling apparatus 1 is formed of a sampling section 2 consisting of inner and outer pipes 5, 6 having inner and outer sampling ports 12, 9 and being relatively rotatable with respect to each other, a rod 4 of a Swedish sounding apparatus, and a connection portion 3 connecting between the sampling section 2 and the rod 4. The inner sampling port 12 has a small opening area compared with that of the outer sampling port 9, and allows a sampling blade 13 to protrude outward on one side with respect to a longitudinal direction. Then the interior of the inner pipe 5 is formed into a sampling chamber 17 having sampling chamber end faces 15 of an inner bearing body 7 as both end faces, and a protruding bearing portion 16 is engaged with a receiving bearing portion 20, whereby the inner pipe 5 is axially supported in the outer pipe 6.
