PURPOSE: A flat type vibration motor is provided to increase the volume of vibration of motor, and allow for easy assembly by permitting a weight to be assembled to a substrate without using a weight fixing device. CONSTITUTION: A flat type vibration motor comprises a lower case; a substrate mounted in the lower case; a magnet fixed on the lower case; an upper case coupled to the outer surface of the lower case; a rotary shaft supported between the upper case and the lower case; a rotor(120) mounted on the rotary shaft; and a brush having an end fixed on the substrate so as to apply power to the rotor. The rotor includes a base(121); a bearing(123) arranged at the rotating center of the base; a weight(125) mounted on the base and produces eccentric vibrations; a plurality of coils(127) arranged around the bearing; and a printed circuit board mounted beneath the coils and supporting connection or circuit and base. The weight has a step(125a) protruded from the bottom surface of the weight. The circuit board has a hole having a shape corresponding to the shape of the step of the weight.
