PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cleaner at a low cost wherein a housing having a filter etc. installed therein can be easily and securely attached to and detached from a directional control valve on a tap water faucet. SOLUTION: The water cleaner is provided with the directional control valve for selecting a flow channel and the housing 20 having a cleaning member installed therein and detachably/detachably connected to the directional control valve. A male and a female engaging parts are engaged with each other relatively movably in the direction of the axis H of the flow passage and relatively unrotatably around the axis. A hook arm 55 projecting along the axis direction is provided on either one of the valve and the housing and a hooking groove to be hooked with the hooking arm is provided on the other one of them. A projection is provided for releasing the hook by upwardly pushing the projection at the lower side of the cleaner to bend the hooking arm.
