NOVEL C/O ADDRESS RESERVATION METHOD FOR QUICK HANDOVER IN MOBILE IPV6

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel CoA reservation method for quickly carrying out handoff.

SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: transmitting a CoA reservation solicitation message containing a link layer address of a mobile node from the mobile node to a router in a mobile communication environment; transmitting a CoA reservation request message containing a present CoA and the link layer address of the mobile node from the router to an adjacent router; generating a novel CoA in the adjacent router and determining the novel CoA after applying a duplicating address check to the novel CoA; and preserving the determined novel CoA in a proxy table that is managed by the adjacent router and carries out proxy.
