<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying apparatus which reduces the preparing time until starting a reading operation and cuts off the useless energy consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The copying apparatus is roughly composed of three blocks. A picture reader 225 reads an original picture, a picture controller 226 processes the read original picture to be sent as electronic information, and sends the processed picture to a printer engine 227 which then prints out on a paper based on image data from the picture controller. An AC power source 239 is inputted to the printer engine 227 through a switch 240. A power source 241 converts an AC power to a DC voltage to feed the printer engine, the picture controller and the picture reader with it. A relay circuit 242 is fed with a power controlled, based on a remote signal from the printer engine. A CPU 221 in the picture reader transfers commands and statuses in communication with a printer engine controller in the printer engine to exchange information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
